Resorts World Manila, which opened in August 2009, is the first integrated gaming, entertainment, leisure and hospitality resort destination in the Philippines. The property is situated on an approximately 11.5-hectare parcel of land which is located within Newport City directly across from NAIA-3 and adjacent to the Villamor golf course.The resort is approximately five kilometers away from NAIA-1 and NAIA-2 and is directly linked to highways leading to Makati and Fort Bonifacio business districts. Resorts World Manila currently comprises a casino with an aggregate gaming area of 13,167 sq. m., a four-screen cinema, the 1,500-seat Newport Performing Arts Theater for live performances, 48 restaurants and bars (with 30 restaurants in the Newport Mall and 18 restaurants which are owned and operated directly by Resorts World Manila), 89 retail outlets and kiosks, a grade-B eight-storey office building, separate office space located on the tenth floor and basement floors of the NECC and three hotels: Maxims Hotel, an all-suite luxury hotel catering primarily to the gaming patrons of Resorts World Manila; the Marriott Hotel Manila, a five-star hotel catering to international business and leisure travelers; and the Remington Hotel, the Company’s mid-range hotel. Resorts World Manila’s gaming facilities and casino formally opened in August 2009, and the Marriott Hotel Manila opened in October 2009. Maxims Hotel formally opened in December 2010, and the Remington Hotel formally opened in November 2011.
Casino and Gaming
The gaming facility is situated on three floors comprising an aggregate gaming area of 13,167 sq. m., accommodating a wide range of table games, ETGs and slot machines. Resorts World Manila’s table games feature Baccarat, Super Six, Black Jack, Caribbean Stud Poker, Casino War, Craps, Money Wheel, Pai-gow, Pontoon, Roulette, Sic-Bo, Three Card Poker, Blue or Red and Three Pictures. The casino also has ETGs (which can be configured to host multiple games) and slot machines across its floors that supplement the table game areas.
The gaming facility includes both VIP and Mass Market gaming areas. The VIP area comprises part of the second floor and the entire third floor of the gaming facility, including the exclusive Genting Club, an invitation-only private gaming facility for certain VIP patrons featuring lifestyle amenities such as luxury furnishings, a high-end lounge and a variety of fine dining options. The Mass Market area comprises all non-VIP areas, namely the remainder of the second floor and all of the first floor of the gaming facility.
As part of its gaming offerings, the Company hosts numerous tournaments per year for games such as baccarat, poker and slot machines. The Company believes that these tournaments help increase the overall profile of the casino and drive more visitors to the property. Historically, the resort has consistently run at higher capacity rates during these tournaments.
